Tuba

Inspiring the young with music

Suitable age group: 8 years of age and above

The tuba is the lowest pitched instrument of the brass family and is quite a large instrument!! If you have a big and burly character and are interested in laying down the bass notes in music, the tuba would be a great fit for you!

Playing the tuba requires coordination of hands, mouth, and breathing when playing. It not only develops coordination and finger dexterity, but it also promotes brain plasticity and cognitive development. Skill transference from learning the tuba can assist children in many different aspects of life. Research has proven that learning a musical instrument improves musical performance as well as academic test scores. Children will also learn how to read music during this course, this helps develop their hand eye coordination.

At Da Capo Music Academy, every student is placed at the centre of a personalized, interactive and engaging learning experience. Supported by research-based pedagogies, developmentally appropriate practices and digital resources, our passionate educators at Da Capo Music Academy adopt a holistic approach when crafting individualized lessons. Suitable age group: 3 years to 8 years of age

A tuba is one of the largest and deepest-sounding instruments in the brass section of an orchestra. In contrast to trumpets and trombones, the tuba is played upright. To play any brass instrument, the player presses his lips together and blows air into the middle to make it vibrate. Young children can benefit from learning to play the tuba in numerous ways, including developing discipline, self-confidence, and strengthening their core muscles.
